Mr. Finkelstein is a Part time Professor of Law at the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo and an Arbitration Attorney – Mr. Finkelstein has a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (1989), LL.M in International Law from the University of Miami (1991), Ph.d. in Law from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (2000) and Full Tenure (Livre-Docência) from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (2011). He is currently a Professor at both Graduate and Post Graduate levels, where he coordinates the Post Graduate Studies International Law Department as well as the newly created Arbitration Law Chapter of Studies. Mr. Finkelstein is also the Vice-President of the Brazilian Society of International Law and Director of the Brazilian Institute of Constitutional Law. Mr. Finkelstein is the Editor of the Brazilian Constitutional and International Law Review, published by RT. Former Coordinator of the International Contracts Course at COGEAE and Fundação Getúlio Vargas/SP. Current Coordinator of International Contracts Course at IICS and Arbitration Law at COGEAE/PUC. Mr. Finkelstein is an Arbitrator included in the Roaster of the main Arbitration Institutions in the Country and has a vast experience in handling both domestic and international arbitrations. His practice focuses on Contracts Law, Corporate matters, Private and Public International law.
Mrs. Maria Eugênia Reis Finkelstein holds a Master’s Degree in Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (2000) and a PhD in Commercial Law from the University of São Paulo (2003). She is a Professor at the Faculty of Law of the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo; at the São Paulo Law School (EPD) and Coordinator of the specialization course in Corporate Law at Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FVG-SP). Mrs. Finkelstein is author of several works; she is an Arbitrator of SP ARBITRAL and has experience in the area of Law, with emphasis on Corporate Law, International Joint Ventures and international e-commerce.
Luciana Palma de Godoi Bastasini is a laywer with degree at Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo, where she also coursed postgraduation in Contractual Law, the one of most importants branchs of activity of Finkelstein Advogados. Besides it, she also develope activities at the other areas of the office, specially Corporate Law and Arbitration
During two years, Luciana was the monitor at the Course of Corporate Law of GVLaw, in Fundação Getúlio Vargas, and she also contributes to the attendance of clients of many nationalities, considering her experience with English and French languages.
Mr. Escobar is the coordinator of the Post Graduate Studies in Arbitration at Faculdade de Direito Damásio, and a visiting Professor at the Post Graduate Program of Mackenzie University. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb), holds a PhD and a Master degrees in Law.
Mr. Escobar is a former Judge of the Administrative Tax Court of the State of Sao Paulo, and a former Member of Tax Council of the City of Sao Paulo. He is included in the roaster of arbitrators of the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC) and the Arbitration and Mediation Chamber of the Federation of Industries of the State of Paraná (FIEP-CAM). He is also a Member of the Board of the Brazilian Chapter of Club Español del Arbitraje (CEA), a member of: London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the International Council for Commercial Arbitration (ICCA), the Arbitration and Public Law Commission of the Center for Arbitration and Mediation of the Chamber of Commerce Brazil-Canada (CAM-CCBC), and the Third Sector Commission of Brazilian Bar Association – Section of Sao Paulo.
Camila Macedo Simão is a law graduate from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP). Her main areas of practice are Litigation, Arbitration, International Trade and Tax Law. Since 2013, Camila has been a member of the study group on International Arbitration at PUC-SP, where she currently acts as a coach for students participating in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot. Camila has participated as oralist in PUC- SP prized teams, in the Vis East in Hong Kong (round of 16), Moot Shanghai as finalist and the FDI Moot in Buenos Aires, reaching the semi-finals.
